Inspired by Lessons in Chemistry, we put together a "Cookies at Six" series where we're testing a new variable - no baking. The science is simple, the results are magical!
Have you been watching the show? Apple TV turned this brilliant love story into one of the best series in my humble food science obsessed opinion ;). And Brie Larson sure brings all the empowering elements to Elizabeth Zott.
We think she'd greatly approve of our No-bake Cookie Mixes: so efficient, nutrient dense, flavorful, and easily customizable (change is the life force of chemistry right?).
Cookies are chemistry, and chemistry is life! "Cookies at Six" sponsored by Creation Nation, featuring holiday No-bake Coconut Snowballs and Iced Gingerbread Balls:
Coconut Snowballs
- Creation Nation No-bake Cookie Mix (vanilla coconut)
- 1/3 cup water or milk
- 1/4 cup coconut oil or coconut butter
Mix with a fork, roll into 16 balls, and roll balls in shredded coconut or powdered sugar of choice. You can roll them in a bowl or gently shake-n-bake style inside a ziplock baggie. Chill for 30 minutes and enjoy! Store extras chilled & sealed.
Iced Gingerbread Balls
- Creation Nation No-bake Cookie Mix (chocolate)
- 1/4 cup water or milk
- 1/3 cup holiday spiced nut butter (or plain almond butter, but add 1 Tbls ginger or pie spice)
Mix with a fork, roll into 16 balls, and drizzle with white icing or melted white chocolate. Chill for 30 minutes and enjoy! Store extras chilled & sealed.
Both holiday cookie recipes are easy & fun to make, super delicious and aesthetically festive too! I hope you'll share with loved ones and make memories in the kitchen.
Children set the table, your mother deserves a cooke to herself ;) Happy holidays! xo Karen Nation
